Home Discussions Workshop Market Broadcasts. Change language. Install Steam. I have everything running with SteamCMD and my dedicated server is up and running. However, I still cannot have other people join the server which most likely comes from ports needing to be forwarded. Online I have found that the ports that need to be opened are as follows. Are they correct? My questions are, am I properly forwarding these ports and if not how do I properly forward these ports? Finally, do I have the correct server IP address entered?
Before You Forward a Port
Counter-Strike: Source Server Setup Under FireDaemon Pro
When you are playing Counter-Strike: Source you might need to forward some ports in your router. Forwarding ports is a useful trick in gaming because it can really help to make your network connection most stable and intermittently even faster. Routers were not designed to allow incoming network requests and some games can play tremendously better if an incoming connection is forwarded through the router to the game. The easiest way to find your router's IP address is to run our free Router Detector utility. It's a part of the Network Utilities suite of tools and it's completely free to use.
Forward Ports for Counter-Strike: Source
Counter-Strike: Source pits counter terrorists against terrorists. The game is old but still played as there are still hundreds of servers that are full! This allows you to start and run the dedicated server automatically when Windows boots and before login. FireDaemon Pro also allows you to start multiple instances of the game server, monitoring them and automatically restarting those instances in the event they crash.
