Free is a powerful incentive. This is a good example of why Amazon and the other cloud services offer hundreds of different ways to try out their products. If the code makes it big and starts generating enough revenue, the developers can grow into paying customers. Most of the AWS services in the free tier come with a limit, usually enforced each month. Even the generous limits can be exhausted. The options for computation in the free tier are pretty limited and so it pays to reduce the server-side computation as much as possible. The point is to save computational resources that would be generating your web pages dynamically so you can stay within the free tier. AWS Lambda is the only Amazon compute option that remains free after one year. Choosing Lambda from the beginning sets your application up for success in the future.

Setting up a Free Metatrader VPS on Amazon Web Services
Amazon makes it possible to try their cloud servers for a year for free. This article shows you how to take full advantage of this offer and use it for a Metatrader setup in the Cloud. This is a service provided by a hosting provider, where a fraction of a large physical network server in a datacenter is rented and set up as a single network server with its own dedicated Operating System. You get a lot of the benefits a dedicated server would provide, but because cost and capacity are split - cost is a lot lower than renting a dedicated server. Contrary to a Cloud Storage solution like eg. Dropbox, you get a virtual operating system or 'machine' you can log on to remotely - hereby the name: 'Virtual Private Server'. This makes it possible to install and run the software as you would on your regular desktop computer. In other words, you get both storage and computing power in the cloud. There is a lot of possibilities with a VPS - but this article is limited to the advantages seen when paired specifically with the Metatrader trading software.
Open-Source Routing and Network Simulation. The free tier of service is fairly flexible. Amazon AWS provides enough free hours to run the micro-instance twenty-four hours a day for a year but, if a user needs more services, he or she may create multiple micro instances and run them concurrently, which multiplies the rate the user consumes hours. For example, one could run two micro-instances concurrently every day for six months; or twelve for one month. The first step is to create a user account on AWS. Follow the directions provided on the AWS web site to set up a user account. You need to have a mobile phone for identity verification. If you already have an account on amazon. Amazon AWS provides excellent documentation and video tutorials. You can follow the Amazon documentation or you can follow the procedure we describe below.
