Try it out while it's hot you won't be disappointed ;-. Welcome to ET: Legacy , an open source project that aims to create a fully compatible client and server for the popular online FPS game Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory - whose gameplay is still considered unmatched by many, despite its great age. We consider ourselves as an international community of developers and users keeping Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory alive and up to date. Our development is a collaborative effort done in an open, transparent and friendly manner. Anyone is welcome to join our efforts! Don't forget to read our FAQ before posting. Clients initially query a well-known master server for a list of currently registered game servers, and then sequentially probe each game server in the order they were returned by the master server. The starting and stopping of clients over time creates a hour cycle of 'background noise' probe traffic impacting on registered game servers, independent of a given server's actual popularity with players. Based on over 10 million probe packets from two topologically distinct Wolfenstein enemy territory servers in , this paper shows that probe arrivals are uncorrelated and exhibit exponentially distributed inter-probe intervals during both busiest and least-busy hours of the hour cycle. A modified Laplace curve is then shown to be a reasonable estimator of lambda for the exponentially distributed probe arrivals during any hour of the day. The ability to easily synthesise probe traffic patterns will augment existing approaches to modeling the IP traffic loads experienced by game servers and network devices attached to game servers.

Instant Setup - Ten years game hosting experience. Our amazing control panel makes it so easy to configure and host your own Barotrauma server. Simply choose your options using our text editors and sliders and restart your server using our advanced control panel. At GTX we have never limited memory for our game servers. Here at GTX we offer support that is second to none. And, with our game switching service you can switch to any game that we host.
Listen servers allow you to play the game and host it at the same time, while Dedicated servers only host the game. Dedicated servers use fewer resources than Listen servers, and are therefore more stable to play on. To run a Dedicated server, we suggest you have at least:. Here is a table with suggested server speeds based upon maximum client settings. If other server applications are running, you should expect to need more system RAM.
